Ebenezer Wake Cook (1843-1926) - Lago Di Garda
After returning to England from Australia in 1873, Ebenezer Wake Cook began to exhibit at the Royal Academy and the Society of British Artists. This view of Lake Garda comes from one of his later tours to the continent. It surely has been inscribed incorrectly as 'River, Lago di Gaudo'. Cook later became the president of the Langham Sketch Club.

Signed lower left 'E Wake Cook', 18 x 30.5 cm, framed.
