Richard Henry Wright (1857-1930) - Lincoln Cathedral at sunset

A serene view of Lincoln Cathedral in the early evening with the sun setting in the distance. Wright has chosen to depict the magnificent gothic cathedral from the other side of the River Witham with a tug towing a barge along. The watercolour is inscribed verso by the artist 'Lincoln, Evening'.

Condition report: the watercolour is in excellent condition. The mount has a few marks that are shown in the photographs.
